Common Mushrooms

Although many mushrooms are edible, there are also many toxic look-a-likes.  We urge you to confirm its identity and safety before consuming. Fun fact: September is National Mushroom Month!

Here are some of the common and somewhat uncommon mushrooms found in Northern Indiana.  Check back periodically as more will be listed as time allows!
