AVIAN SURVEY 2024 - MIKE METZ FEN

Mike Metz Fen was chosen for an avian survey in 2024.  Funds received from the Indiana Academy of Science paid for the survey expenses conducted by area Naturalist, Fred Wooley. Sixteen visits, from April through November, offered the opportunity to record 75 species of birds, identified by sight and sound, through the migrating and breeding seasons.  The report can be found in the link below. It may be fun to use as a list of birds to look for while visiting the Fen at Pine Knob Park.  Enjoy!
