LaGrange County to confirm E911 Addresses

To better serve the community of LaGrange County, there have been steps taken to improve our emergency services.
LaGrange County has hired Schneider Corporation to verify addresses of all county properties for the countywide emergency dispatch system.    Address information will be put into the dispatch system for  police, fire departments and ambulance service.
Workers from Schneider Corporation will go to properties countywide for the purpose of correcting, updating, verifying and collecting missing addresses.
They will start work Monday May 19, 2008 and will be working in the county for the months of May and June.  The vehicles will be prominently marked as “E911 Data Collection Vehicle” and the employees will be wearing orange vests and Schneider clothing.
At the end of the project, every address will be put into the system and as new construction is started, the new address can be added to the system.
